Make good use of the accessories included in the box to restore your pruning shears to its peak condition
Three steps to renewal: safe, simple, and precise
Step 1: Safety preparation and disassembly of old blades
l Core safety: It is an unshakeable premise for all operations that the battery must be removed first.
l Cleaning the workbench: Find a clean and flat area, lay a soft cloth on it, and use protective tools to prevent parts from falling off.
l Remove screws: Use the accompanying special tool to evenly loosen and remove all screws that secure the blade set in a counterclockwise direction. Keep the screws properly.
l Remove the old blades: Carefully detach and remove the worn-out movable and stationary blades. At this point, you can observe and clean the accumulated sap and dust inside the blade head.
Step 2: Install the new blade. The core is "alignment"
l Place the fixed blade: Accurately place the new fixed blade into the slot of the machine body or align it with the positioning hole.
l A crucial step: Align the movable blade: Attach the new movable blade. Please pay special attention to the markings on the blade (such as the "UP" arrow or the brand logo, which should face outward), ensuring that it is parallel to the cutting edge of the fixed blade and the tooth grooves align with each other. Perfect alignment is the foundation for smooth cutting.
l Initial tightening: Screw all screws into the screw holes by hand to ensure smooth thread engagement.
Step 3: Fine adjustment and final testing
l Even tightening: Use a dedicated tool to gradually and evenly tighten all screws in two to three steps, following a diagonal sequence. Avoid tightening a single screw all at once, as this ensures that the blade assembly is evenly stressed.
l Check the clearance: Manually operate the blade to feel whether its opening and closing are smooth and unobstructed. The ideal shearing clearance is extremely small and uniform.
l Lubrication and final testing: Apply a small amount of lubricating grease (if included in the accessories) to the moving parts of the blade. Install the battery, first trigger the switch without load to listen for smooth operation, and then use a branch to test the cutting. The familiar crisp "click" sound is the signal of successful renewal.
Tip: Make sharpness last longer
l After each use, take a minute to wipe away the residual sap on the blade with a cloth. This is the simplest method to delay rusting and maintain its sharpness.
l Regularly check the tightness of screws.
l If the cutting becomes laborious or burrs appear, it indicates that the blade needs to be re-sharpened or replaced.
